LONDON — Police in the City of London on Wednesday said they had contained two riderless horses after “a number” of them became loose and were seen running through the capital.
Officers contained two riderless horses near Limehouse in east London, the City of London Police said in a statement via social media platform X.
Police said they were called when the animals, wearing saddles and bridles, were reported to have become loose at approximately 8:40 a.m. London time.
“We are aware of a number of horses that are currently loose in central London and are working with colleagues, including the Army, to locate them,” Westminster police said in a statement via X.
