KSP listens to West Nusa Tenggara locals’ views on government programs

“Please tell us all the stories and positive impacts that you have felt even though there were weaknesses and shortcomings,”

Mandalika, W Nusa Tenggara (ANTARA) – Chief of the Presidential Staff (KSP) Moeldoko held a virtual discussion with West Nusa Tenggara locals in the series of listening to people’s aspirations of the 10 years of President Joko Widodo’s (Jokowi’s) administration programs.

During the discussion, Moeldoko stated that the development programs implemented by President Jokowi’s administration touched all aspects of life in all regions throughout the country.

“Mr. President carried out (the programs) because he wants no one left behind in our beloved country,” he remarked while opening the event virtually.

The discussion was attended by a group of disabled people and beneficiaries of the government’s social assistance program.

Moeldoko explained that the government programs, including poverty reduction, improvement of basic services, infrastructure development, economic strengthening, and job creation through agriculture and tourism industry, have been President Jokowi’s passion.

“Then, there is also the improvement of maternal and child health and open opportunities for disability groups,” he highlighted.

He said that these success stories must be echoed together to inspire all Indonesian people and also the global community.

Hence, his side conducted this discussion to listen to success stories from the government assistance beneficiaries.

“Please tell us all the stories and positive impacts that you have felt even though there were weaknesses and shortcomings,” he remarked.

The government will continue to improve on the program shortcomings to provide better service for the people.

Meanwhile, Samsul Hadi, a beneficiary of President Jokowi’s program, stated that the program has a positive impact on people with disabilities, especially in the education sector.

He explained that the government assistance had made it easier for the disabled people to attend higher education.

“Disabled people’s entry and access to college have been simplified,” he remarked.
